Fumigation is the safe and effective combating of grain storage insects in stored grain in such a manner that the grain will be safe for the end user and free of live insects.
One of the following chemicals should be preferred, considering the type of stored products and weather conditions. These;
Aluminum Phosphite
Magnesium Phosphite
Methyl Bromide
Silo Fumigation application, pest type and density, moisture content in the product, etc. It is a Fumigation technique that criteria should not be ignored. The homogeneous distribution of fumigant gas throughout the silo is one of the most important factors for the success of the fumigation process.
